Hit up Tokyo last weekend with Kristen, Tiffani and Sarah. Good times were had by all.

A random assortment
here are some randoms from the last couple months. Included are pictures of my favorite japanese TV show - Waterboys 2. It's about a high school boys synchronized swimming team. There's no explaining how this show can turn normal 22 year old women into pedophiles - but it did. Have a look, but I bet it won't have the same effect...

Maki Higashi Sports Day
Ahh, Sports Day, the annual and very strange tradition of Japanese schools. I guess it can be compared to middle school field day (until they canceled it - damn you CMS!). The students are broken into three teams and they compete with each other on all kinds of events.
I had to run in the teachers relay, which was hilarious.

To Sanjo for dinner and drinks and more...
So we went to Sanjo to party with the other kids in the area. It was fun but some really stupid things happened which should not be revealed here. That's what happens when you are forced to stay up drinking till 6am to get the first train home...

Nishikawa Matsuri
Instead of a weekend of drenched camping, Kate and I went to Nishikawa, the next town over for their summer matsuri. The locals forced us into the parade, taught us the dance and gave us free beer and sake. We even found a rice vending machine...
I forgot my camera so I stole these from Kate (this also probably explains why the pictures didn't come out well on my computer) - I hope this isn't copyright infringement.

Prefectural Orientation
I like to refer to this Orientation as 7th grade sleepover camp with beer - featuring a curfew of 10pm and lights out at 11. There was even a game of Never Have I Ever being played at the party. Weird.
Also, this was the founding of the We Hate Fiona Club... so delicious.

Ain't no party like the short shorts party!
Canandaigua's finest moment occurred at this summer's short shorts party... thighs for days. But even weirder was the group of weirdos who showed up NOT in short shorts... if only we had made good on the $10 cover charge rule. Damn it.
